It's easy to clip furnishing images and information from your favorite websites directly into your Gather account.

Once you've installed the extension, do the following to start clipping:

Step 1: Navigate to your favorite manufacturer or vendor website. Find a product that you'd like to save to your Gather account.

Step 2: Open the clipper tool by clicking the Gather icon in your extension toolbar.

OR

In your browser, you can right-click on the image you want to add and select "Gather." The clipper tool will pop up on the right side of the page.

Step 3: Add information to the empty fields in the clipper.

Vendor and Manufacturer fields will not auto-populate unless a record with the same URL exists in Contacts.

Step 3a: If you're on a website that you've never clipped from before, and there is no record in your contacts, you will need to do the following:

  • Go over to your Contacts section. This linked article will walk you through adding contacts in Gather.

  • Add the website. You will only add the main domain of the site; see a sample here.

  • Go back to the website, refresh the page, and clip.

Step 4: Select your project and product board area, and type for the item. You can also add images to a vision board here if you choose.

*Note: You must explicitly select the Project and Project Area or Vision Board for the Clipper Tool to save the product. Otherwise, the save button will be greyed out if no Area or Vision Board is selected. See the sample below:

Step 5: Select Trade or Retail price. If you're saving the MSRP, select "Retail" if you're saving the designer price, select "Trade."

*Note: If you mark a Manufacturer as "Trade" or "Retail" in your contacts, it will auto-populate that setting when you clip. Check out this article to learn how.

Step 6: Click "Save" to add the item to the project.
