If you'd like your designer discount and markup to auto-populate within an item, you'll need to decide how you would like the pricing to populate.
1. From the "Account" dropdown in your account's upper right corner, click "Settings."
2. Select the "Pricing" tab.
3. Select how you would like the designer discount and markup fields to auto-populate within an item based on one of the options above.
Note: Auto-population of the designer discount and markup are set within your "Contacts." See this article on how to Set a Default Designer Discount and Markup within an Organization record.
Understand how each option affects the auto-population: π
Supplier: If you select the "Supplier" option, the pricing will populate based on the pricing set in the supplier's contact record.
Manufacturer: If you select the "Manufacturer" option, the pricing will populate based on the pricing set in the Mfg's contact record.
Both: If you select the "Both" option, the pricing will populate based on whichever field you select last. For example, if you want the supplier contact to populate the pricing on a particular item, you will need to select the supplier field after the Mfg. filed, and vice versa if you want the Mfg. contact to populate the pricing.
Neither: If you select the "Neither" option, pricing will not auto-populate at all. This will allow you to add your discount and markup to your contacts without the information auto-populating within an item.
Note: Updating this setting will not retroactively update any existing items unless you change an item's supplier/Mfg. fields.
