Export a Purchase Order (Legacy Plans)

Turn selections into a PDF purchase order on a legacy plan.

Written by Scottie Elliott

On legacy plans, you can turn selections into a purchase order. Purchase orders export as PDF documents.

Note: On Core Plus, you create purchase orders in Orders. See Create Your First Purchase Order. Purchase orders aren't available on Core.

Group Items by Supplier

You can create purchase orders from Grid View, but Spreadsheet View is easier. It lets you filter by status and group items from the same Supplier or Manufacturer. Switch views from the Display icon.

  1. Filter by the status you use for items ready to purchase. This example uses a custom status, Invoice Paid.

  2. Click to the right of Supplier to group items alphabetically.

  3. Select the items from one supplier for your first purchase order.

Export the Purchase Order

  1. From Exports, select Purchase Order.

  2. Fill in the document format and address information.

  3. Choose the product details to include, then click Next.

  4. (Optional) Rename the file and choose a Files folder.

  5. Click Export & Save.

When the export is ready, a message appears in the lower-left corner, and the file is saved in Files. To stop an export while it's generating, see Cancel an Export.

Good to Know

  • PO numbers: enter the PO number manually. It doesn't fill in automatically, but it's saved on each item once you enter it. To show it on the export, select Include Document Number.

  • Addresses: add the Supplier Address, Issued By Address, and Ship To Details manually.
