Ask questions about your Gather data
Try asking things like:
Which items in The Zinnia project are approved but haven’t been added to a purchase order yet?
Show me every payment recorded on Clover Tower purchase orders this month and what’s still owed on each order.
Which vendors appear most often across these 12 projects, and what is the total spend with each?
Find specifications on Barlow Street that are missing a price, vendor, or Item Code.
Which items in this project are still waiting for approval?

Keep the conversation going
You don’t need to include everything in your first request. Once your assistant finds the information you need, you can ask follow-up questions or narrow the results.
For example:
Show me the outstanding purchase orders for The Zinnia.
Then:
Which of those still have items that haven’t arrived?
For clearer results, include details such as the project, area, item, vendor, purchase order, or status.
Ask your assistant to make changes
Gather MCP also supports actions that create or update information in Gather.
For example:
Add a placeholder sofa to the lounge.
Add this note to the dining table specification.
Change these items to Approved.
Update the vendor on these specifications.
Your assistant may ask you to confirm an action before making a change, depending on its permission settings.
For important changes, especially deletions or bulk updates, review the request carefully before approving it.
A few things to keep in mind
Your assistant can only access information allowed by your Gather account and permissions.
Some workflows depend on whether your company uses Core or Core Plus.
Not every Gather action is available through MCP.
Your assistant retrieves information when you ask for it; it does not maintain a separate background copy of your Gather data.
Information retrieved from Gather becomes part of your conversation with your AI provider and is handled according to that provider’s policies.
