Connect Gather to ChatGPT to ask questions about your Gather projects, analyze information, and make supported changes directly in a conversation.

An active Gather account on a Core or Core Plus plan.

A ChatGPT that supports custom connectors. Your organization may need to enable connectors.

If you use ChatGPT through a work or school account, your workspace administrator may need to allow connections to other services.

Open ChatGPT on your desktop or in a browser.

Open your account menu in the lower-left corner and select Settings.

Under Integrations, select Plugins.

Select Add, then choose Create MCP App.

Give the app a name, such as Gather.

Under Connection, enter the Gather MCP server URL: <code>https://mcp.gatherit.co/mcp</code>.

Select I Understand and Want to Continue, then select Create.

Choose the Gather company you want ChatGPT to access.

1. Open ChatGPT on your desktop or in a browser.
2. Open your account menu in the lower-left corner and select Settings.
3. Under Integrations, select Plugins.
4. Select Browse Directory.
5. Select Add, then choose Create MCP App.
6. Give the app a name, such as Gather.
7. Under Connection, enter the Gather MCP server URL: <code>https://mcp.gatherit.co/mcp</code>.
8. Select I Understand and Want to Continue, then select Create.
9. Select Continue to Gather.
10. Choose the Gather company you want ChatGPT to access.
11. Select Approve.

*Note: If you belong to only one Gather company with MCP access, select Approve. If you belong to multiple companies with MCP access, choose the company you want to connect from the dropdown, then select Approve.

1. Start a New chat.
2. Open Plugins.
3. Select Gather.

You can now ask ChatGPT questions about information in your Gather account using everyday language. For example:

"Please review my Clover Tower project and make a list of all the items that are currently in a Proposed state."

You can also ask ChatGPT to draft a message based on the project information. For example:

"Please draft an email to my client asking her to log in to Gather and review the items that are still in a Proposed state."

You cannot find Connectors: Your ChatGPT plan, app surface, or organization settings may not include custom connectors. Check with your ChatGPT administrator.

Gather does not connect: Confirm that the MCP server URL is correct: <code>https://mcp.gatherit.co/mcp</code>. Sign in with an active Gather account on a Core or Core Plus plan.

ChatGPT shows the wrong company: Remove the connector and add it again, then select the correct company at Gather sign-in.

ChatGPT cannot find a project or action: Confirm the selected company, your Gather role, and whether your plan and project include that feature.
