Add or replace images on an item

Add, replace, or paste primary and secondary item images, or drag image files into the upload window.

Written by Scottie Elliott

Step 1:

To add or replace an image, start by opening the item you wish to edit, then click the edit pencil below the image box.

Step 2:

Choose how to add your image.

  1. Upload from your computer: Click Choose image, select the image file, then click Upload.

2. Copy and paste from a website: Right-click the image and choose Copy image. Return to Gather, click inside the upload window, and press Command-V on Mac or Ctrl-V on Windows. Click Upload.

3. Drag and drop from your desktop: Drag the image file into the upload window, then click Upload.

Step 4:

Confirm the image appears in the upload window, edit if needed, then click Upload.

Repeat these steps in the secondary-image area to add or replace a secondary image.

Update images with the Gather Clipper

If you're on our Core or Core Plus plan, you can use the Clipper to update an item's images directly within the Clipper

Troubleshooting:

  • If right-click does not show Copy image, open or enlarge the image. If copying is unavailable, save the image to your computer and upload the local file or drag it into the window.

  • If keyboard paste does not add the image, click inside the upload window first. Use Command-V on Mac or Ctrl-V on Windows.

  • If the image does not appear, upload the saved image from your computer or drag the file into the window.
