Once your team has created product tags, you can add them to items in three places and add or remove them for many items at once. You can add as many tags to an item as you like. You can also create a brand-new tag right from an item, as described below.
To manage your full list of tags, see Product Tags: Create and Manage Them.
On the product board (Grid View)
Find the item. Every card has a tag icon next to its status. A number appears next to the icon when the item has tags.
Click the icon. The tags already on the item are listed under Already tagged.
Under Add more tags, click a tag to add it. You can also search by name.
Inside an item
Open the item and click the tag icon at the top, next to the status.
In Spreadsheet View
Use the Product Tags column. Click a cell to add or remove tags for that row, which is a quick way to work down a list.
Create a new tag from an item
You don't have to leave your project to make a tag.
Open the tag popover on the item, using the card, the item itself, or the Product Tags cell in Spreadsheet View.
Under Add more tags, type the name of the new tag in the search box. If it doesn't exist yet, it appears with New next to it.
Pick a color.
Click Create. The tag is created and added to the item.
The new tag is available to your whole team and shows up in Settings > Tags > Products, where you can add a note or change it later. Only owners and admins can create tags.
Remove a tag from an item
Open the tag popover (on the card, inside the item, or from the spreadsheet cell) and click the x next to the tag under Already tagged.
Add or remove tags in bulk
Select the items you want to change, in Grid View or Spreadsheet View.
Open Bulk Actions and choose Edit Product Tags.
For each tag, Gather shows whether it is on all, some, or none of the selected items.
Choose Add or Remove for the tags you want to change. Tags left on No change are not touched.
Click Review Changes, check the summary, then click Apply Tags.
Changes apply to all of the selected items at once. The bulk dialog lists the tags that already exist. To create a new tag, use an item's tag popover or Settings.
