Gather allows you to control how your exports look. Choose typefaces, text size, colors, and weight for each text type, preview changes as you make them, and save your look to reuse on any PDF export.
Customizing export design is available on the Core and Core Plus plans. The style options appear when you export a Spec Package, Line Item Specifications, Image Grid, or Spec Sheets (zipped).
Open the export preview
On the product board, select the items you want to export. To export everything that matches a filter, apply the filter first and click Select All.
Click the Export icon in the toolbar and choose Spec Package.
Gather opens a live preview of the document on the left. On the right, the Content tab controls what is included, and the Style tab controls how it looks. Every change you make appears in the preview.
Choose what to include
On the Content tab, open Spec sheets, then Specifications, and check the fields you want on each item page. For example, check Common Fields to add Model/SKU, Dimensions, Color/Finish, and more.
Fields you leave unchecked do not appear, so a new package starts with a simple page. Add some details first, so you can see your style choices on real content.
Start from a style template
Click the Style tab.
Open the template menu at the top of the panel.
Choose a template. Gather includes six: Gather Default, Quiet Classic, Editorial, Contemporary Studio, Modernist, and Swiss.
The whole preview updates at once. Each template sets its own typefaces, spacing, and colors, and you can adjust anything afterward.
Change the typefaces and text size
Open Typography.
Display is the typeface for titles and headings. Text is the typeface for everything else. Click either one to pick a typeface from the list, or type a name to search the full Google Fonts library.
Text size has three settings: S, M, and L.
Hover the eye icon next to Display or Text to see which text uses that typeface. The matching text is outlined in the preview.
Change the colors
The Base color palette holds the colors your document draws from: Dark, Medium, Light, and Link. Click a swatch, then enter a color as a hex code or pick one from the color picker. The picker tells you which text uses that color, for example "Used by Document title, Page title, Section heading, Body". Change it once and everything that uses it updates.
Fine-tune each text style
Under Text styles, every kind of text has its own settings, grouped by where it appears: the Cover page (Document title, Prepared by line), Item sheets (Page title, Section heading, Label, Body), and the Page footer.
Click a text style to change its Typeface, Weight, Size (pt), and Color. Some styles also have Case, Letter spacing, and Line spacing. Click Reset style to put one text style back the way it was.
To undo all your style changes at once, click Reset next to the template menu.
Save your look as a style template
When you like the result, save it so you can use the same look on any export.
Click Save next to the template menu.
Enter a Template name.
Leave Set as company default unchecked unless you want this template to be the starting point for your whole company.
Click Save template.
Your saved templates appear at the top of the template menu, under Your saved templates. Click the three dots next to a template to Use as default, Rename, or Delete it. Deleting a template does not change presets that already used it.
